First Information Session:

We are excited to share highlights from the first meeting of the San Benito County Ag Element planning effort! This important kickoff event marked the beginning of a collaborative initiative to protect and enhance agricultural lands in San Benito County while supporting the long-term viability of the agricultural economy. If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered with resources and updates!

Meeting Recap:

The initial session, held on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, was a great success. Stakeholders gathered at the Sheriff's Conference Room to:

  • Learn about the purpose and role of the Agricultural Element (Ag Element) in the San Benito County General Plan.
  • Gain insights into the development process, goals, and the timeline for the Ag Element.
  • Explore opportunities for future participation and input from individuals, landowners, agricultural businesses, ranchers, community groups, and tribes.

Couldn’t make it? You can still be involved!
