Carry Conceal Weapons (CCW) Permit

The Sheriff may issue a permit to carry a concealed weapon pursuant to Penal Code section 12050(a)(I). The Sheriff is not required to issue a concealed weapon permit nor does the applicant have a right to such a permit. California law has established a criteria to be examined prior to the Sheriff issuing a concealed weapon’s permit. Good Cause is not required.

To request an explosives permit, complete the downloaded forms and return them to the Sheriff’s Office at 2301 Technology Parkway, Hollister, CA 95023 by mail or in person.

Declaration of Intention Period

For Judicial Candidates Only

During this period, candidates for judicial offices are required to file a Declaration of Intention to become a candidate prior to filing their Nomination Documents consisting of a Declaration of Candidacy and a Nomination Paper with the requisite number of signatures. 

Candidates are required to pay the NONREFUNDABLE filing fee or submit in-lieu signatures for all or a portion of the filing fee at the time of filing the Declaration of Intention. 

The Declaration of Intention must be obtained from and filed with the county elections official of the county in which the candidate is a resident.
