Mission Statement

The Mission statement of the Pacheco Water District is to help minimize flooding impacts in the area. The district aims to implement changes and repair the levee to improve the safety of the residents affected by the flooding on Lovers Lane.

History

On March 4th, 1946, a scheduled and publicly announced hearing took place to discuss the creation of the Pacheco Storm Water District (PSWD). The aim was to gather feedback and insights from various stakeholders and the public. During the hearing, the attendees discussed key aspects related to the proposed District.
Following these deliberations, the Board of Supervisors, responsible for making decisions on such matters, voted on the proposal. The decision was in favor of forming the PSWD, with all four board members voting in support.
This decision had practical implications for the community. The approval signaled the beginning of a new district that would oversee the general welfare of the residents of the district. It showcased the local government's responsiveness to community needs and their ability to work collaboratively to address them.
