The Sheriff may issue a permit to carry a concealed weapon pursuant to Penal Code section 12050(a)(I). The Sheriff is not required to issue a concealed weapon permit nor does the applicant have a right to such a permit. California law has established a criteria to be examined prior to the Sheriff issuing a concealed weapon’s permit. Good Cause is not required.

To request an explosives permit, complete the downloaded forms and return them to the Sheriff’s Office at 2301 Technology Parkway, Hollister, CA 95023 by mail or in person.

Read the attached letter and make an appointment as detailed in the letter.

Special Meeting

To give additional time to review material, we will have a special meeting on April 11^th at 3 p.m. (please find the Zoom link below) to go over the Election Administration Plan requirements.

As requested, attached is a scanned copy of the 1^st postcard and a digital copy of the 2^nd postcard (front and back) – These are samples of voter direct contact that is mailed before every election.

The following are questions we will revisit during the April 11^th meeting:

Are all Vote Centers properly equipped with voting accessibility needs?
Are all 6 drop boxes accessible to all voters?
Are all outreach materials such as postcards accessible to all voters?
Are there other events targeted to people with disabilities in the community you recommend?
Do we cover all the necessary information for voters to decide on their preferred method of voting?
