Building Inspection Services

Inspections may be requested 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 831-637-1041. It is requested that inspection requests are made 24 hours in advance of actual inspection. When requesting a building inspection, please speak clearly, stating your name, building permit number, inspection location and a phone number where someone can be reached. Inspections are scheduled in AM and PM time slots. Your building permit must be posted on the construction site.

Inspections:  All work shall be complete prior to scheduling inspection. Inspections shall be scheduled with the RMA a minimum of 24 hours prior to the requested inspection.  A qualified person shall remain on site to meet the inspector with the approved plans, specifications and permit.  Roofing and Photovoltaic inspections are to have OSHA approved ladder secured to the building at the time of the inspection.  Electrical inspections shall be conducted with qualified personnel and the panel enclosures, junction boxes and related electrical components shall be accessible/open at the time of the inspection.

Hours of Construction: Shall be defined as during the day mainly during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday no Sundays or National Holidays See SBCC 19.39.010 for times
