The Integrated Waste Management team is assisting the City of Hollister in adopting a Sustainable Food Service Ware and Retail Bag Ordinance as an effort to further achieve the City's climate action and waste reduction goals.

Integrated Waste Management is surveying Hollister business owners, collaborating with neighboring Counties and Cities with similar ordinances to identify best methodologies and business resources, and developing educational materials and tools to pave an easy path for Hollister businesses to comply. At this time, the Integrated Waste Management team is anticipating the Hollister Sustainable Food Service Ware and Retail Bag Ordinance to be adopted by the Hollister City Council in 2022. San Juan Bautista  

A Sustainable Food Service Ware and Retail Bag Ordinance in the City of San Juan Bautista was adopted on January 1, 2020 with enforcement taking effect January 1, 2022. 

The ordinance regulations apply to restaurants, event organizers, and retail stores that operate in the City of San Juan Bautista. The  Integrated Waste Management team, in partnership with the City of San Juan Bautista, continues to provide technical support and assistance to the San Juan Bautista businesses to ensure ordinance compliance.
